The staff was outstanding! They really worked hard to adjust my stay when the weather compromised my arrival date. There was a snafu with booking not updating the dates and I was changed a no show fee. The hotel was able to remedy it and was friendly and genuine in assisting. I wish this level of service was everywhere. Thanks they have security patrolling the parking. They have a hot breakfast. Oat milk and oatmeal for vegetarians. The room was clean. The hotel was clean. Overall this is one of the most highly rated hotel stays I’ve had in a while.

Charleston had some interesting things to see. The mall was nice, the coliseum was beautiful and very big, the capital was certainly beautiful and worth seeing. The highway is located conveniently as well. There were a lot of restaurants and such, but there were definitely some bad parts about this area. There were a lot of LARGE potholes in the road, many areas were very run down and not very safe, and some neighborhoods weren’t somewhere I would feel comfortable staying at either. Staying here for a night was okay. I did enjoy some of my time here though. My favorite spots were the areas near the mall and the mall itself. We ate at a Hardee’s, McDoanld’s, and at the Outback which were all pretty good! Getting around Charleston is okay, it’s not overly complicated. If you’re not used to driving in a little bit of a larger area with added lanes and more traffic then definitely bring someone with you to help out. Parking garages in the area are confusing, and don’t use Spot Hero if you’re going to an event for parking. The garages don’t take your QR code and you’ll have to pay for the parking garage again. Don’t waste your money there. I would avoid Dunbar next time, and focus mainly on the Charleston area itself. Near the mall isn’t bad at all, it’s when you hit a little further out that things seemingly aren’t the best.

Since Charleston is my hometown I love it and miss it. It is amazing how many changes have taken place since 12/1996, when we moved away due to job changes. We have the most beautiful capital than any other state. Mountain views are beautiful during all 4 seasons.

I had to ask for coffee from a man vacuuming the hallway. My bed was not made and trash in living quarter was not emptied. A woman had a barking dog and I asked the front desk if that was allowed and I was told that it was as long as they paid a fee for the dog. The bed was comfortable and the sheets and pillow cases were fresh and clean. The door jam going into the bathroom had a brown substance on it that I cleaned with wet tissues, not sure what it was, but I know what it looked like. If I could see it so should the employees who clean the room. I will never stay there again.

Well we drove around the riverfront are and downtown and liked it all. We wanted to visit the state museum but that will be for another time. We others for lunch at the Red Lobster at a shopping center. That was good.
We went to the Hale House downtown for dinner. It was elegant and delicious.
The room layouts really are great for families when babies need to go to sleep early. The pet free room was so great. As a dog owner who leaves him behind, I prefer to not have other animals or their “prints” left behind. The last pet friendly stay was stinky. Breakfast was great and very convenient (but ended very strictly at 9am). Dinner at the hotel restaurant was also great. And complimentary drinks were a nice surprise. Prompt delivery of pool towels.
Booking.com stole my money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I arrived at the hotel they had no open rooms and cancelled the reservation but Booking did not refund my money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am going to post everywhere to never use Booking.com as they will take your money and give you no place to stay! You guys absolutely suck!
Close proximity to downtown and river. Staff that greeted me extremely friendly and told us about outdoor music festival walking distance from the hotel. She also gave us a place to lock up our bicycles so they would stay safe overnight. Staff in morning equally friendly. Good breakfast facilities spread out and clean with good choices!
Beds were big and comfortable. Pool and Hot tub were so clean and warm. I finally found a chance to relax there. Breakfast was one of the best I eaten at a hotel. I will definitely stay at this hotel when I am in Charleston. Many restaurants around the area.
I liked the lamps in the hotel and how they had plug ins on them. The pillows were comfortable. I also liked that there was a blow dryer in the bathroom for your hair and a big mirror to view your outfit. Cable was okay too, and it had some good shows on.
The location is good and the check in procedure went smoothly. The room was decently sized and clean. The gym was open 24/7 which is good. I asked for a later check out time and my request was accommodated. Overall very friendly staff.
Small, well-maintained hotel. Neat and clean lobby, room, bathroom. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Nice extras of popcorn and cookies available in the evening. Nice variety at both. We would definitely stay here again!
Arrived later than planned, not easy to find. Exhausted.
Reception not friendly at all.
Room had a smell, not sure of what.
No coffee, machine for drinks out of stock. Sorry this is what I didn't like.
Nothing nice to say.
The rooms were spacious and clean and There was a mini fridge which was very useful to us. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was right off the highway, easy to get to and close to restaurants or shopping.
Very clean , excellent customer service & Staff were all wonderful. I was extremely impressed on how clean the rooms & excellent the Staff were . Shout out to Charleston Wyndham!
